Description

Morning lights casts a warm glow on Chimney Bluffs along Lake Ontario is Upstate NY. In this scene I used a long lens to zoom in on just a part of the bluffs landscape, concentrating on the light and shadows. The light and shadows are what compelled me to capture this scene and I just love the way small portions of the bluffs are being illuminated and other parts are in the shadows. The Bluffs were formed from the erosion of drumlins that were created during the ice age. The bluffs are ever changing due to erosion and reach a height of 150 feet tall! I find them to be very imprressive and very cool looking! I love both versions of this image, color and black and white! The black and white image I feel is a bit more dramatic and really plays on the lines of the bluffs and the contrast of the light and shadows.
