Artist's Description
Some trees in winter along the Oswego River in Upstate NY. There was just something about these trees that piqued my interest and got my camera pointed at them. I tried to convey how cold, but beautiful winter can be here in Upstate NY. Enjoy!!
About Rod Best
Welcome to my gallery!! I am an Upstate NY based photographer who tries to capture the essence of landscapes, nature, and cityscapes with an eye for detail. Specializing in the scenic beauty of the Adirondack Mountains, Thousand Islands, Finger Lakes of New York State as well as the Central New York area, where I am from! When travelling, I will generally have my camera with me so that I can capture images from across the country with scenes such as cityscapes from Baton Rouge or Cleveland along the waterfront, to the Mountains of the Pacific Northwest! My photography is about showcasing the grandeur of the scene and quite often the subtle interplay of light and shadow, texture, and color. Whether it's the serene calm of a misty river...
