Artist's Description
The is a view of the Tibbett's Point lighthouse, Fog Horn building and Keepers Quarters in Cape Vincent, NY. It marks the entrance to the St. Lawrence Seaway from Lake Ontario, the last of the Great Lakes before heading through the St. Lawrence to the Atlantic Ocean. This was taken just after the sun had set and is looking out towards the St. Lawrence River or Seaway.
About Rod Best
Welcome to my gallery!! I am an Upstate NY based photographer who tries to capture the essence of landscapes, nature, and cityscapes with an eye for detail. Specializing in the scenic beauty of the Adirondack Mountains, Thousand Islands, Finger Lakes of New York State as well as the Central New York area, where I am from! When travelling, I will generally have my camera with me so that I can capture images from across the country with scenes such as cityscapes from Baton Rouge or Cleveland along the waterfront, to the Mountains of the Pacific Northwest! My photography is about showcasing the grandeur of the scene and quite often the subtle interplay of light and shadow, texture, and color. Whether it's the serene calm of a misty river...
