Looking up at the Rondaxe Firetower on Bald Mountain from the base of the tower. This is located on top of Bald Mountain in the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate NY and is one of several firetowers located in the Adirondack Mountains that were once used by spotters to look for fires in the mountains. At the top of the tower is a small room with a map on a table so that the spotters could plot any fires spotted and assist fire fighters in locating any fires.
