On this morning in June, there is a slight gap in the morning clouds which allows the yellow hues of the sun to escape and light up the tranquil waters of Oneida Lake. There is a stunning sunstar created as the sun peaks over the top of some clouds on the distant horizon.
Oneida Lake located in Upstate NY is the largest lake that is entirely located within NY State with an average depth around 22 feet. Since the lake is so shallow, it can get pretty nasty during storms, but on this particular morning, it was very tranquil and serene with just a few ripples on the surface.
