Rice Creek meanders thru portions of the SUNY Oswego Campus in Upstate NY along the shores of Lake Ontario. This portion of the creek is below the Rice Creek field station where biology students study the creek and surrounding wetlands. I like the large rocks in this part of the stream along with this very picturesque cascade after the stream makes a sweeping bend thru the woods.
Welcome to my gallery!! I am an Upstate NY based photographer who tries to capture the essence of landscapes, nature, and cityscapes with an eye for detail. Specializing in the scenic beauty of the Adirondack Mountains, Thousand Islands, Finger Lakes of New York State as well as the Central New York area, where I am from! When travelling, I will generally have my camera with me so that I can capture images from across the country with scenes such as cityscapes from Baton Rouge or Cleveland along the waterfront, to the Mountains of the Pacific Northwest! Winter is NOT my favorite season, but there's no denying it has its own beauty. And you have captured some of that masterfully in this photograph. The flow of the water as it cascades over the stones is especially beautiful.
