This is the Tibbits Point Lighthouse in Cape Vincent, NY, built in 1827. The lighthouse sits at a point where the St. Lawrence River meets Lake Ontario guiding ships from the Seaway into the Great Lakes and from the last Great Lake into the Seaway and eventually the Atlantic Ocean. This shot just so reminded me of dozens of lighthouse scenes from the coast of Maine with the light perched up on a point along a rocky shore.
