Description
This is one of many trails at the Great Bear Springs Farm in Upstate NY. Native American legend has it that the area got its name from a brave who encountered a Great Bear in the area. After the brave was able to fend off the bear, he called the area Mishemokwa, meaning Great Bear. For years, Great Bear Springs provided drinking water for the nearby community of Fulton, NY.
