Artist's Description

Falling Water is an intimate look at Chittenango Falls in Chittenango Falls State Park in Upstate NY. I wanted to focus on the intimate landscape in this image rather than the grand view. Here you can see layer upon layer of water falls as the water falls from the highest part of the falls and hits different levels of the rocks below. It's almost like a symphony layering many different instruments to create a beautiful piece of music; the water falls are layering waterfall on top of waterfall to create a final beautiful image!

About Rod Best

Rod Best

Welcome to my gallery!! I am an Upstate NY based photographer who tries to capture the essence of landscapes, nature, and cityscapes with an eye for detail. Specializing in the scenic beauty of the Adirondack Mountains, Thousand Islands, Finger Lakes of New York State as well as the Central New York area, where I am from! When travelling, I will generally have my camera with me so that I can capture images from across the country with scenes such as cityscapes from Baton Rouge or Cleveland along the waterfront, to the Mountains of the Pacific Northwest! My photography is about showcasing the grandeur of the scene and quite often the subtle interplay of light and shadow, texture, and color. Whether it's the serene calm of a misty river...
