Artist's Description
The Big Four bridge was formerly a RR trestle that crossed the Ohio River between Kentucky and Indiana. The bridge was originally built in the late 1800's and served as a rail bridge until the late '60's. It's a wonderful testament that not everything that is old need to torn down and destroyed. It is a beautiful bridge that is lit up very nicely at night in multiple colors, but I thought that converting it to B&W was really appropriate for this image!
About Rod Best
Welcome to my gallery!! I am an Upstate NY based photographer who tries to capture the essence of landscapes, nature, and cityscapes with an eye for detail. Specializing in the scenic beauty of the Adirondack Mountains, Thousand Islands, Finger Lakes of New York State as well as the Central New York area, where I am from! My photography is about showcasing the grandeur of the scene and quite often the subtle interplay of light and shadow, texture, and color. Whether it's the serene calm of a misty river...
