Description
The Big Four bridge was formerly a RR trestle that crossed the Ohio River between Kentucky and Indiana. The bridge was originally built in the late 1800's and served as a rail bridge until the late '60's. In 2014 it was converted into a pedestrian walkway connecting the cities of Louisville, KY and Jeffersonville, IN. It's a wonderful testament that not everything that is old need to torn down and destroyed. It is a beautiful bridge that is lit up very nicely at night in multiple colors, but I thought that converting it to B&W was really appropriate for this image!
